If you are trendy.. Or maybe not lol! You've probably noticed the new wave, Off shoulder Tops and Dresses! I mean! This style has been around for ages but the wave this time?! Insane!

The fashion brands depend on the 'in' styles to get people excited. The mannequins at the mall, the models on the homepage¦.

The big names are in on it! The small brands! The tailor down the street…

This trend is seemingly everywhere and has taken different forms. Trust the Fashion conscious Africans to input this style in Ankara fabrics.

They can be glammed up with pants and heels for a more sophisticated look, or worn with flip flops on a weekend about town. This trend is popular I believe for it's versatility. There's also another twist, this one is called the "cold shoulder". This style has a bit more covering on the shoulder. Usually a fat strap.... Or the shoulders just look like they're falling off.

I say yay to this trend because they are pretty comfortable and hide a lot of flaws. The trick is to twist yours into one that suites your body.
If you have stretch marks on your arms, or flabby arms (some people call this halleluiah arms, haha!) you may want to go for the cold shoulder style.
If you've got nice shoulders and clear skin, Dear! You better work that gift! Slap on some shimmer in baby oil, work that around you shoulders and back and hit the streets when the sun shines bright!

Another cool thing about this trend is most of the ready-to-wear Ankara tops and dresses are one size fits all. Or if at all sized, would be Small, Medium and Large.

This red one can even be worn in 4 ways, Gorg!

I caught the bug quite late, I really don't care if I am one of the last to jump on this. I'm going in!
